Day 6 of our NEW YEAR..Percolating a bit...

There are a few things that really excite me..
THIS one...OMGoodness....this is a must have...
It stand about 4 feet tall....is this just the most amazing
workmanship ever??? lol

YOU are by now aware I have a bit of coffee obsession..
YOU can see my collection here..

I have a few coffee mugs, mug mats, theme art work
around my home. I have a coffee station for goodness
sake and my cat is called Sumatra after my fav, coffee blend.

Well this YEAR with a full course load
of studies in Digital Design...I suspect
I will be drinking a few more cups than my normal
intake of 2-3 a day..

I PERCOLATE ON THIS...

I received my "Syallabus"
An outline or a summary of the main points of a text, lecture, or course of study.
last week, sew in preparation of my studies I must get
familiar with my new IMAC . I have been working on a Windows
platform for quite awhile...than I got an IPAD ( apple)
and then decided I  wanted to learn Digital Design...I can do all this in a
windows environment- sure-  but I like challenges sew
if I am going to learn something new...( 5 brand new softwares)
in 1 year...
I may as well as throw in an
Mac OS X10.7.2 LIONS

APPLE is no doubt managed by 95% MALES,
or sew it seems by the content of videos I have had to
peruse....But here is my observation....
BTW I really have learned sew much in a just a couple
of days...

My Master Teacher is a bit dull, but he knows his stuff
and that I will celebrate...
My hubby last night was chuckling as I was sharing
about my ----dock station, and mission control, system preferences,
magic pad , launchpad
and spotlight, text to speech and my LIONS MAC
I told him, I don't get that they don't have lipstick colors
and floral icons, and coffee references..WHY??????

Well I have percolated enough on that ...thought
I would share something while I break from my first 3 hours
of lessons...must return...

And yes Gail I will be doing another wonky house later today lol

What SWEET thing have you learned today..?

I LOVE the bookshelf! I could see that in my house - and my mother going crazy to straighten it out.
I learned a NEW way to make sewn in circles - using in a new project.

I may have to convince my father to make me a book shelf like that. Good luck with your class. It sounds like a lot of fun and hard work!

Today I have learned that as soon as I put the finishing touch on a project, all I want to do is start a new one! Enjoy your cuppa and those platforms!

Such a wonderful book shelf. I love it. And Samm I love my Mac too!!!

Brilliant book case - could so easily be tea cups for me! You lost me with the mac-speak, sorry. What I learned today, it's no fun being human pincushion, but the benefits - ahhhh, that's a bit better :)

Love, love the shelf! So clever...
I agree, after the IPhone and IPad I started considering a Mac... at least one of their wonderful monitors, lol. Your Pintrest is fantastic :-)

Today I have learned that I really shouldn't click on links to Pinterest. They always suck me in because everything is so darn cute. Love, love, love your coffee collection.

I'm trying to catch up on reading all the blog posts I missed while family was here during the holidays.
My sister and brother and I go to my parent's house every day between 4:00 and 5:00 for coffee. You would fit right in! Nantucket Blend is my morning brew (thank goodness for the Kuerig or I would be stuck with my husband's Extra Bold brand.)
Good luck with the studies!

LOL My geeky daughter was nodding at all of your tech-speak, so I will leave it to her! Love, love that shelf system....going to go and look at your collection now! Hugs to you!

Love that stacked cup shelving. So clever and totally YOU!

Eeep. Sounds like you're up to your eyeballs in techie stuff and having a blast!

Percolating! My folks had the white and red enameled pot. I acquired a taste for coffee long after the pot was replaced with an electric one. Hmm. I wonder what I missed? I luv coffee (hot and black) but with all the ambiance of cups and props. The whimsy shelf is exquisite! Percolate away, Samm.

Did you FIND or have that darling shelf made? Very unique and so YOU! As for all your MAC courses, my son is a MAC guru as well as PC but has always preferred the MAC. He does work in the Digital design software or whatever you call it. He makes a lot of videos for churches, businesses, etc... and MAC is supposedly the best...I wouldn't know. Matthew is always the first with every Apple product even if he just bought it 2 weeks ago and Apple has come out with an upgrade. Of course he makes a living doing this sort of work. Good luck and best wishes for lots of long days and nights ahead filled with techie heaven.
Blessings

Hi Sweetie, the sweet thing I learnt today from Jonah is how to roast a Princess over a fire. He is all boy and since my daughter broke her leg two days before Christmas I have had to be both the monster and the saver (his words) so this keeps me busy these days. I hope to get some serious sewing done this weekend.
Good luck on your new venture I know that you will ace it like everything else you take on. Blessings Sandra

That shelf is so perfect for you. I guess I am not surprised that you are taking classes. I'm sure you are going to go great. Have fun with it and I hope that you are well stocked with Sumatra.

My son (the IT guy) will tell anything made by Apple is awesome. I am sure I learned something new today but can't really tell you what it was. I can tell you I tried a new food today. Hummus. I have always wanted to taste this and today I did. It was ok. Not sure if I will go out and buy some but at least I finally got to try hummus. Good luck on the class.

I wish you luck on your conversion to things MAC. I was a true blue PC person for years and my husband was always after me to switch to Apple. Well....I finally broke down and agreed to the switch and he ordered me my Mac laptop after Thanksgiving and I LOVE it! Still learning my way around but finding it so much less painful than I thought I would. I hate to tell him he was right but he was!

Your coffee collection cracked me up! What I learned was: an Easy Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe. Sounds yummy and easy! Good luck on your new venture.

OH you are evil Samm! I WANT THOSE SHELVES! AND YOU have enticed me more than anyone ever has before to go check your pins. ack. Until now I have been succeessful at NOT going to Pinterest but noooooooooooo I HAD to check yours today. I just wasted more than an hour drooling over all of yours because of my shared coffee love I have with you.

I had to share the adorable picture of your beautiful kitty with my husband (as well as about 20 pinned items you have too). You may not recall but we do share the love of coffee and Ragdolls. Your "Sumatra" is the Sealpoint Mitted twin to my Blue Mitted "Baby". I told hubby that you are my twin with the new-ish learning of quilting, the Ragdoll love, and coffee love. LOL

Good luck with those classes but hey, you got a brand new computer so all is not lost right? LOL

Loved the pinterests. Someone needs to do a tutorial on those adorable coffee and tea cup change purses. Great mix of coffee and quilting. So many cute ones but loved that saying "Morning has broken, Mr. Coffee has spoken"!! Thanks for sharing and best wishes with your classes.
