I have always been a morning person.
I go to bed early and I wake early.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
I am sew grateful for the aroma that first
brew of coffee brings to my senses..
I am grateful for my breakfast nook and
the view I had this morning..
ST-Nick here in the window displays
the morning waking up with me ...
The sky a soft blue, mirroring the coolness in the air...
I grab my IPAD, a couple of shortbreads and stir
with anticipation what this day will unfold for me...
A week from now it will be Christmas EVE
and I will be participating fully in each moment
as if they were my last...
AS I embrace this season of my life
I am thrilled to share it with you..
This morning and many more....
Thank you for sharing yours with me!
May you always have LOVE to share,
HEALTH to spare and FRIENDS that care...

Quiet mornings are the best...best to prepare for the busyness of the day ahead! Enjoy your morning! :)
Ahhh, I love mornings the best too! I'm not poetic like you, but I wake up early, and sit in the dark with one little light illuminating the hand sewing project I am working on. I save machine sewing for later in the day, but as the sun rises, I sip my coffee and stitch my stitcheries or quilt my quilts...life is good!
Oh yes, the delicious cup of coffee in the morning. The rest of the house is quiet still, and I'm able to enjoy my coffee while I work on a small scrapbook to be gifted to a very special person. I know she is not expecting to receive anything from me, but she has sew inspired me and I wanted to thank her.
Have a wonderful day and Merry Christmas!
My mornings are not too quiet around here with my two little ones but they are special none the less. :) Happy Saturday and Merry Christmas!
Beautiful post and pictures! I hope the rest of your day is as lovely as your morning. Merry Christmas!
Oh how I enjoy my quiet mornings. Time to plan, and reflect. I am happy you are able to sit still long enough to actually drink your coffee! But then again, you did take time to take photos, and post this...you are wonderwoman re invented! xoxoxo Christel
I also think the morning is the best part of the day.
As I´m almost retired now I have plenty of time to enjoy the morning, saying hallo to my cockaties, sipping my tea and reading the newspaper.
It´s not winterlike here in the south of Sweden, but it will still be Christmas in a week.
Samm, I wish you a wonderful Christmas time
I am not a morning person...but glad to hear some one out there is enjoying them :)I hope the rest of your days is just a peacefull
Beautiful, beautiful tribute to a new day! Thanks for sharing your quiet joy and peace with us!
I often wish I could sleep late but it never happens. Too many years of rising early to get to work I guess. But you're so right - the quietness of morning is a gently soothing beginning to the day. blessings, marlene
You have managed to help me let out a big breath of stress. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and bringing me back to calm. May your day continue with blessings. I'm off to a Christmas lunch with friends.

I am not really a morning person, but that first cup of coffee-yeah-I love that. I find that late evening is my favorite time. Have to do's are done, and it is time for the want to do's.
Have a Merry Christmas Samm, and thank you for making time for all of us in blog land.

I wanted to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years may your Christmas be filled with Sugary kisses and eash day of the New Year be filled with smiles and laughter. Hugs
I used to be a night owl but my hubby has converted me to the morning and I must admit it is better. So "top of the morning, to you, Samm". The grand daughter had us up even earlier this morning so it is definitely an early night for me.
wow ; how soothing ! Your song is soothing also . thanks ! have a blessed Christmas and beyond !
It is the coffee that gets me every morning. I was a night person and that is not a good thing, mornings are better. I just realized I should have started early with my gifts for my neighbors. Tomorrow is a day for making things for the children, fun, fun.
I just love reading your heartfelt posts with pictures to match your words, so beautiful~
I love my quiet mornings too, a time to plan my beautiful day~
Merry Christmas my wonderful blogging friend!!
Huggs, Nancy
Peace is a beautiful thing and the older you get, the more you appreciate it! Blessings to you and yours this glorious Christmas season, my friend!
Enjoyed this post. I use to be a morning person. Medication and pain issues have me a night owl, now. Also, I get to spend more time with hubby if I stay up later. I would love to find a balance. Spending afternoons and evenings with my hospitalized mother. She hates that we have to wait on her, but I wouldn't have it any other way. These hours are precious. I wish her peace for Christmas.

Love quiet mornings...and quiet midnights as mornings are not quiet with a toddler.
Love that top photo too!
Ah yes, quiet mornings all to myself (and the cats of course). It can be a get things done time or just relax time, but I love my early mornings (real early!!!).
Once I'm up, I'm fine, but waking up is not my strong suit. A sleep study is in my near future. My sewing room has become my favorite place for some quiet "me" time. Merry Christmas to you Samm. I'm very grateful for your efforts in keeping us quilters informed, excited, and lots of projects to keep our creative juices flowing.
Merry Christmas
Jane
Have enjoyed your thoughtful posts and Christmas decorations, especially the memorable tree ornaments!
Happy holiday stitching!

Samm, I just wanted to say thank you and Merry Christmas. Finding your blogs has changed my life this past year. I start my days with you and go back often to re-read posts of interest. You are truly the best cheerleader quilting has ever had and you remind me often of why I love it so. You positive attitude uplifts me every day. Thank you sew much.
Samm I am right there with you. I too enjoy the quietness of the morning. I know when I was raising my children I got up an extra 45 minutes just to have my quiet morning then by the time the house woke up I was ready for the day and I am still that way. I wouldn't change it either...Have a very Merry Christmas with your family, thank you so much for well, for being you!
Love & Hugs
No, thank you for sharing it with us! I spend every morning with you, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You are like the cream in my coffee. Coffee is good, but coffee with cream is great.
As far as mornings, they are not my thing. I stay up late and I wake up late. Regardless of the time our mornings happen, as long as we spend it together someway, it is great. That is one of the many great things about the internet. Time just doesn't flow the same way online.
One more week, I can't wait! I still have a ton of things to do yet, but I think I will get them done in time. My kids got sick unexpectedly and put me way behind schedule, but I am catching up during those late nights while they are in bed.
Have a great week before Christmas!!!
Such beautiful pictures! I love morning time too. A peaceful Monday morning is the perfect way to start out a busy week. Merry Christmas Madame Samm!

Just wanted to say: Thanks for all you have taught me this past year.
Have a Merry Christmas and a FABULOUS New Year.
I will be following you on the road...from the South Eastern part of the USA during January!
The storyboard of my life amazes me!
Hi Samm,
I've been gone a while but you have not been forgotten. It's good to see you haven't changed ... still sharing your talents! I couldn't possibly see Christmas come and go without stopping by today to wish you and yours a very happy Christmas ... may 2012 bring you much happiness!
Warmest hugs,
