YOU is .....ready to be blanket stitched...

It took me the whole week but I managed to hand
embroider alternate quotes of YOU is kind,
YOU is smart, YOU is important...
Using Black and Variegated Raspberry threads
by no other than Presencia Finca #8.
I cannot tell you enough how much I love these
threads, there is no lint, no separating the threads.
YOU cut, thread the needle and stitch...
( oh my white KONA comes from her too...)
I only ever use white KONA for all my background
fabrics..it is always sew darn FRESH looking...

My original plan was just to hand embroider one of the quotes
on each sash...but this quilt is sew large I had enough room
to do the whole quote on each side...
I just used a stem stitch and a lovely font that was
easy to read....and 5 days later ....
VOILA!

Now I am heading to the kitchen to bake some more pies
( apple and butterscotch pie) and then I am going
to gather all my sewing threads because I will then head
out to a retreat where I will be machine blanket stitching all 42 of
those daisies... 42 ...gosh how much thread will that take lol?
By the end of the weekend I will likely have this all sandwiched and
then I will begin hand quilting....I may get this done before next week...

It is sew fresh and clean and perfect for the wee missy
who will be slipping under her covers and pulling this up
to her sweet cheeks...

It is Thanksgiving here this weekend
sew to all of the Canadians who come by..
I am sew THANKFUL for YOU...
YOU is kind, smart and IMPORTANT to me...
To all my international quilting friends
ditto..my heart to yours...

Looking good! I too love me some Kona White. I tried it once when it was on sale and now that is the only white I buy, I love it! And today I branched out and got some Kona cotton in Tan. It is for the background of an animal print quilt I am making.

Can't wait to see the progress on all your blanket stitches and Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you!
