How do they do that?....need color...have some here!

When you come across something wonderful...
you just have to share it..ok, "I" have to share it..
..I have known about
this for awhile and was thinking what a wonderful
tool this Jessica has come up with.....
DESIGN SEEDS is her company...
Color palettes for those of us who quilt...
( she designs for many companies but I am thinking
as a necessary  tool for us..this is perfect)
IMAGINE this...YOU will never ever be stuck
with what to match...
Think of the possibilities...?
I do every day...

How many times have you dished up some berries
and thought "mmmmm a quilt in these colors"

 see a common thread..?

I chose these because they spell sweetness...
yes?

Imagine this palette, fresh isn't it?
Jessica has 2 books filled with all of these...
and she gives you permission to post as
long as you share where they came from...
And you know me about sharing..
I am all over it.....
YOU are only good as what you share..you know
all the secrets that some don't share...
WELLLLLLLL , I am sew into sharing it all...

This will most certainly be my next quilt...
I am just  want to eat this all up...

Do you think maybe this collection
could have been put together with these colors in mind?
( this is a soon to be giveaway at you know where?)

See a theme here...I love fruit....love the colors
that speak to me about freshness....

I love blues it seems and yet I have very little
blues in my stash..mmmmmm
will have to rectify that...

Never liked purple hues..but lately..mmmmmm
I just  want to lick this..

Ok, reds...can you just feel your lips puckering
for these succulent colors..?

And many may know this but I am not a sweet
lover...but licorice and lemons...
I just melt..these colors bring me joy...

Go and check the pages and pages Jessica
has on her site...take a peak at her book...
YOU may never ever be stuck again for
color choices for your quilt....
And thank her for sharing sew much part of
her colors of life...

We have some surprises this week over
at Sew We Quilt...YOU will be pleased
to be prepared....

ahhhh I think I need to make a fruit salad...

A HEART FELT request..

STAR blocks NEEDED
PLEASE link to John'aLee's blog...

I am breaking my own RULES....
but this is a HEARTFELT request...
a dear friend of many of ours
lost someone very dear and would
love to have us make some of these STAR
blocks... Her daughter was to be married last weekend
to the man of her dreams but God had other plans
for this young soul who was taken while on duty
in Afghanistan.

there is a great star block at
Block here
today..

She has a great eye. Since I am at this stage in my sewing from a long career of sewing and embroidering. I keep a DMC embroidery Floss chart and a Machine Embroidery thread chart handy for my color choices. I use the kind of chart that has the actual thread on the cardboard.

How cool is this! Oh, gosh, those blueberries are to die for! I really have a hard time picking out colors that go, but aren't matchy-match, so having someone lay out a pleasing palette is a great help! Yet another terrific blog to subscribe to!!
