I am saying it...I am obsessed with the CLOCK..
I have this thing about TIME. I never wear a watch...
no way...never had except when I was a nurse..
( they did not trust me to do anything without one)
But in my home, we have clocks...quite a few of them...
I just like to make the most of my TIME...
I figure I only have sew many seasons left..
I want to say I did something with it...
you know did something with my TIME.. lol
I took this from my sewing studio ..and took it apart
all that holds it together are these tiny 4 screws..
One wee screwdriver, this needed a Philips
and I was on my way...scissors, some Ghastlies,
INN control double adhesive and
15 minutes from start to finish..
Don't heed the time on the clock...battery was dead
( sew much for my confession about TIME, right?)
Clean your glass..probably has never been cleaned even from the factory...
it is amazing how good it looks..
and use that glass to mark your fabric..
I add two pieces of Ghastlies, and cut
out a square piece of INN control...( below)
IRONED it on both sides...
( be careful to tug gently but firmly on the arms
of the clock..)
YOU need this! ...time to get this...
Once you iron on both sides..cut your circle from the
tracing you did with your glass from your clock...
Cut hole in center where the arms go..
.place in correct order. second hand goes on bottom..
Don't ask me why? Just follow the tut. lol
Add clean glass...screw in your screws..and voila... A Ghastlie clock...I do remember
someone who did a clock...was it ?????
OK, that is it for me today..I have no more TIME left...

Oh..My..Gosh!!!! Is that ever cute!! You are sew clever! I MUST have one too! (I will have one). I hope you have a great evening! Thank you for sharing your 'time' with us!
I would like to join the blog hop for Ghastlies! Love the clock can't wait to get my hands on some!

Huggs, Nancy
That is really cute. I haven't received an invite to the spot, but I can't participate, so I don't know if I'm invited.
That is the cutesy clock ever. What a great idea.....I am still thinking....
Do you think I could get some of that "INN-Control Plus" and make me a pair of pants out of it??? Sounds better than using a girdle!! I'm just saying....
Blessings
Gmama Jane
I love it! I have the perfect clock for that too. Can't wait to try it. ;]
What a wicked idea. I love it. and yes I will have to try it.
Is Inn-Control stiff like Timtex or more flexible like batting?
What a great idea! Hmmmm.....we have a plain clock that is calling out for some pretty.......
We have a small radio/alarm clock in the bedroom (used only for early morn appts), and another on the microwave.....used for setting cook times...often is the wrong time. :) Other than that - no clocks in this household, but if there were, I would want to make it cute like yours!
Love the clock idea. I have made some machine embroidered designs for clocks as gifts. We have clocks in almost every room of the house. Typically they are all 5 minutes ahead, except for the one beside Hubby's side of the bed. I need to replace the clock in my sewing room and have designed one in my embroidery software, but it hasn't gotten past the design stage. Should put that on my to do list...soon.
I am screaming a Ghastlie scream of delight!! That is just too, too fun!! Must make one!
Oh what a sight...Too much fun..where do all the ideas come from? Off to get a clock..
What a fun thing to do ... I love clocks.
I thought I was part of the group.
Oh Marvelous!! though I must say ... Gmama Jane ... tooo, tooo funny! Pants :) :) I think I need a clock like this at work ... people might actually get a clue about my personality and leave me to my work, eh? lol Marvelous!
I love your new clock!!!! It looks wonderful!! You could change it for all the seasons. Love it!! Hugs Ariane
wow that is a really great idea. Great work!
Now that you have such an amazing influence on time, can you make it stand still, turn backwards or at least create a few extra hours?? If anyone can, You can!!
this is sew darn cute! I want to make one too, and will be buying a clock that is appropriate to do so..I think the family dollar store sells them for about 5 bucks! Such a great little project, well worth the fifteen minutes..for years of Ghastlie fun!
My, my, my...you really DO love the Ghastlies, don't you? HA-HA! And I just love that you put it on a clock!
This is to funny! Just got my ghastlie fabric. I just keep staring at it and smiling. Can't wait for the blog hop!
Next are you going to string spider webs around your house? Love the clock!!
Gmama Jane - Let me know if the pants work out...I think that's a great idea.
Barb - That is too funny, but I already have the spider webs, I just need the clock!
Samm, what do I say...I will not be surprised when you "wallpaper" (so-to-speak) the outside of your house with a Ghastly dinner party! I love clocks too! There are four right here in just this one room I'm sitting in! That's a fun and simple to do little idea you have there.
I did this once with pretty scrapbooking paper and a $4 Wal-Mart clock. People loved it and were always asking where I bought it. What a great idea to make a Ghastlies clock!
Great idea!!!
Samm, you're a hoot! Love the Ghastlies! LOL
Oh this is the best clock ever! I am going to be looking for a clock to do this! I can't wait! Love it!
Fantastic! I need to get a clock so that my orange Ghastlies can tell the time :)
Please add me to your Ghastlies list. I have several yards of Ghastlies that I adore but cannot bring myself to cut.
Love your clock! Love using the fusible double sided batting too! Have let you know that I want to join the Ghastlies project, but don't remember knowing about a meeting place! Please bring me up to speed!
I would like to join! Love your clock...very cute idea!
Madame Samm - I received my first shipment of my Ghastlies fabric yesterday. I must say, that as adorable as it is in your pictures, it is even more stinkin' cute in person. I had it sent to my work, and showed it to my boss. I seriously think he wanted to check to see if I had a fever!!! I LOVE GHASTLIES!! I also broke down and ordered Sebastian!!! That cat is sew cute, too!!! Can't wait to meet Sebastian in person!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Just got a new clock. It's hello kitty :). Didn't think of doing the Ghastlies. Cute!
I want to join the blog hop! I already have my ideas! No time now!
I love it. This is such a great idea. I just wish I had thought of it. lol. I'm a nurse too and that is the only time I wear a watch. I totally understand.
Your clock is too cute!!! I'd love to join the blog hop. I share your obsession for the Ghastlies: ) I did two quilts last year but I still have plenty of ideas... and yardage!
OMG! How fun is that! Samm you just amaze me with all the things you come up with!
xx, shell
Samm....that is just tooo cool! I love it.
Smiles,
Kelly
Hi Madame Samm I just love the clock and it gives me a wonderful idea for this boring clock I have on my wall. It is funny that you mentioned you do not wear a watch because I do not either. I was told by a psychologist a long time ago that since I am a type A person that it just stress's me out to wear one so don't. After an adjustment period and it was hard not too but I have not worn one since....talk to you soon.
Honestly, that is such a great idea to personalize a space! Such fun! Looking forward to seeing your blog hop!
Jacque
Very clever! Now, I think you need a shower curtain made out of the stuff. You could put your clock in there and be real coordinated.
Ugh!!! Think I got it right now... if not alice.webb.greer@gmail.com will work. Thanks for your patience: )
Took me awhile, but I think I got the information changed per your instructions. Still contemplating what to make with the Ghastlies.
Hi Samm ~ I requested to be part of the Blog Hop, but I haven't received an invite. Or, have I? : ) Plz., let me know! ~ Jo
