Making every moment count.....

This is what I really aspire to every day...
Making every moment count for something...

It has been a month of losses and a month of
new beginnings...The fact is, there are always lessons to be learned..
Always...
I have had my share of losses and what I have learned is not
to waste one moment, complaining.
( Ok, I do that sometimes,  it does some
good to get it off my chest Ü) but on the most part, I really try to see
the good in everybody and every thing....
I have learned that for every loss that I have had-
I have miraculously, smiled and laughed again. ...
I have learned that for every detour, I do  find my way....
I have learned for every broken heart, my heart seems to grow..

Yep, that is what today is about....being reminded of all of that...
There are many of you that I know personally who are being
challenged, I know-I feel YOU...this is for YOU!

Sew how will I make today count...wellllllll
...here I am....packaging this
 Heaven Sent Quilt  today to
my dear friend who is a new Grandmumm of a baby girl
I am calling her Missy M.
I embroidered her whole name around the Sash/border...
SEE ....lol. She was born at the beginning of the month...

The doll is not part of the package, ( I know you want it too lol)  she needs to stay
behind for some upcoming projects...but she certainly
was interested in the MISSY embroidery...

And this is Missy M's label for her quilt...I just drew a couple circles
and voila a baby carriage...cute heh? lol

And I had some time...well I made some TIME to make a block
for John'aLee's request for STARS for her daughter Tori...
( she lost the love of her life while  he was serving in Afganistan, - they were to
married last week)
I made this from Jen's tutorial on Sew We Quilt yesterday..
( my very first star ever)

Sew these are being packaged and off they will go to new homes today...
A reminder to make every moment count....

Oh you are SO right about this! I have had my share too, like many of us, and no not complaining at all. I always look at the bright site of things as there always is, even when you think there is not! I will make a blocks aswell. Good your reminded me on it! I just couldn't find fabric choices? Can you enlighten me about that? Maybe I didn't see it? Your quilt is adorable and oh those fabrics....I love brown and pink from the day our littrle princess was born, ok, she has 4 legs, but still a princess!

See my post about angels. They make such a difference in other lives. It may be something simple as a gesture or a gift. But it means the world to that person.

hugs to you!

You are so right. I have been reading on how to be more of the woman I want to be and complaining is one thing that the bookd talked about. Love that baby quilt.

Bless you and thank you!

We never know what words out of our mouths, that we forget having said soon after we speak, will heal or help someone else along life's path.

Sometimes I feel that I fail but I always strive to carry on. Every loss brings an opportunity to grow, if only we allow it.

Mya Angelou once wrote-People may forget what you say, they may forget what you do--but they will always remember how you made them feel.
Samm, wise lady, you make us all feel loved and appreciated.

Thanks so much for the reminder. I get all caught up in the day to day struggles of caregiving and making arrangements and forget to remember the blessings God gives us.
I hope that she is inundated with stars from all over. Thanks for letting giving everyone here the opportunity to join in helping make a treasure.

That is well said! Life is full of ups and downs for everyone. Hopefully, as we get older we see that every experience can teach us something and "tomorrow is another day" (as Scarlett always said)!

Great post and after hearing more bad news today, it is also a good reminder that it's all going to work out and I know that I won't make anything change by worrying. I can have faith and keep on keeping on.
I do adore that baby quilt, don't know how you do it all. Bless your heart.

Just wanted to send a little virtual hug your way. It's having tough times that teaches us all true empathy and compassion. It's all in the attitude, right? And yours is a blessed inspiration.
